LUMO 8 WEEKS	15 MONTHS	20 MONTHS	23 MONTHS	2 1/2 yrs

I first saw Quaint Goodwill  (Lumo's Dad) in Amsterdam 2002 at the World Winners Show,  I loved his free, driving  movement and his ring presence just grew and grew the longer he was in the ring, he was a dog I wanted to go over and learn more about, I thought he could hopefully compliment Martha very well, so I decided to take the plunge and travel a new path.

Lumo is the result of my first attempt at an overseas mating, with the help and co-operation of my now good friend Siru (Sirpa Huusari) from Finland of the Sirkiss Scottish Terriers & Cocker Spaniels, we arranged to meet in Belgium after much planning at Siru's lovely friends home, The Hanson Family. They made us feel so welcome.

Lumo was just a twinkle in his Dad's eye at this stage, Champion Berrybreeze Fire Cracker (Martha) and I set off in the camper to Dover for our crossing for her big date with the Famous Finnish/International Champion Quaint Goodwill, (Vaino) or in English (Wayne), Siru & Wayne flew from Helsinki to Belgium for the important "Hot Date"! The international love affair started as soon as they met, Martha the blushing, but rather shameless bride was certainly a Fire Cracker and Wayne the perfect Gentleman lived up to his name of Goodwill.

In the photo above you can see Mum & Dad to be both wearing the bandannas given to them by the Hanson Family, despite the language barrier the two seemed to get on very well!

We had a lovely holiday in Belgium and some wonderful friendships were formed both human & canine, I would do it all again in a flash.

Martha knew she was pregnant instantly, her attitude changed and she started to take very good care of herself, we did make the most of what to us was a novelty though, as dogs aren't allowed in many shops in the uk, we decided to do some gift shopping on our way home, no trip to Belgium would be complete without buying some chocolates, so Martha & I did the rounds in and out of some amazing shops, I think she really enjoyed the whole holiday, I know I did.

One obviously, was Lumo and another is one of his sisters Maisey, (Berrybreeze Enlightning) owned and adored by Mrs Lyn Maidment.

Lumo is quite a personality, he is a real poppet to live with and he loves his mum, in the ring however he is a different dog, very assertive and wants to be noticed, he has had some very nice placings so far in his show career including 3 Challenge Certificates and 2 Res CC's, his most recent CC'S were  won at Crufts under Judge Mr Vincent Mitchell and at Bath under Judge Mrs Elizabeth Blower.

Also Lumo is starting to leave his mark on his own offspring, you can see some photos of his babies by following this link :- Lumo's Children. Lumo's son Danny, Berrybreeze Inspiration, won the Reserve Challenge Certificate & Best Puppy at National Terrier Champ show at just 8 months old.
